24chambers – Violiste Charlotte Spruit
The next 24chambers edition takes place in Utrecht at January 27 with violinist Charlotte Spruit!
Born in 2000 in the Netherlands, Charlotte Spruit began her violin studies aged 4 with Coosje Wijzenbeek, and was admitted to the young talent department of the Amsterdam University of the Arts aged 7. At the age of 17, Charlotte moved to London and continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno. Currently she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree with Ying Xue at the Royal Academy of Music. Charlotte also played in master classes for many renowned musicians, such as Liza Ferschtman, Shunske Sato, Robert Levin, Ulf Wallin and Andreas Janke.
As a soloist, Charlotte has played with numerous orchestras, including the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, the Residentie Orkest The Hague, Combattimento, and Ensemble Esperanza. Charlotte is also a multi-prize winner at many national and international competitions, such as the Kloster Schöntal International Violin Competition, Concours International Arthur Grumiaux, and the Oskar Back Violin Competition. In 2020, Charlotte received the Anton Kersjes Violin Prize.
24chambers editions are free but you need to request an invitation for our guestlist. NB: we only have a limited amount of tickets, so don’t wait too long. The guestlist is open for everyone – you don’t need to be a member of 24classics (allthough members are first in row). On the day of the concert we’ll send you a text message with the exact location in Utrecht.
